Taipei, Taiwan: Asus has given the Zenbook Ultrabook a makeover.

Asus 13.3″ Zenbook (1280 x 720) UX32VD sports 3rd generation potent Intel Core Ivy Bridge chips (Core i5,i7) and is serious on gaming with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 graphics card.
And the 2rd gen Ultrabook, launched at Computex event in Taipei today, with an optional Full HD 1080p IPS panel for crystal clear display, making it ideal for watching content online, with its wide 178-degree viewing angle.
The Ultrabook boasts two second instant on resume with up to two weeks of standby (in S3 mode) and 200 days in S4 mode.
The UX32VD model is the second gen ‘Zenbook’ from Asus, who is looking to make Ultrabook concept, created by Intel, mainstream.
The 13.3″ Zenbook utilises USB Charger+ technology for quick mobile device charging and now has a longer seven hour battery life, and USB 3.0 data transfers and uses hard drive/SSD hybrid storage (32GB SSD/Hard drives comes in 500GB).
It also has 1GB GDDR5 video memory using NVIDIA’s “Kepler” 28nm GPU technology.
ASUS reckons the ZENBOOK UX32VD will appeal to a wider audience with “a fine-tuned balance of technology, design and value. “
And the new Asus Ultra retains the “acclaimed” ZENBOOK design, including an ergonomic inclined and backlit chiclet keyboard.
The new Asus is coming to Australia “in the coming months” and is priced at A$1,299 for Intel Core i5 model and $1,599 Core i7 model.
