The just-revealed Fidelio Headphones L1 at IFA in Berlin – aptly named after Beethoven’s opera Fidelio – lets you hear every detail and note of an original composition with strong focus on bass and fidelity.
Built with high definition speakers, 40mm high definition optimally vented neodymium drivers, designed to deliver an extended yet controlled bass and a natural mid range so the full spectrum of sound is relayed with precision.
Fidelio’s semi-open back design includes a finely woven, acoustically resistant fabric built into the steel grille to let music listeners enjoy deep bass.
The pre-tilt speaker plate matches the natural angle of the ear to reduce multi-sound reflection and Philips engineers have developed the aluminum earshells to minimize resonance and vibration, so no nuisance backround noise.
The HD headphones “creates a sound so detailed that you’ll be able to clearly hear every instrument and note in the most complex tracks in your collection,” Philips promise.
They also look the business, made with memory foam cushions, hard-wearing fine leathers on the headband and will give long-lasting comfort and fit thanks to the adjustable headband and earshells.
Its creators have also thrown in a handy pouch for storage.
The headphones were finely tuned by the ears of the Philips Golden Ears panel to create excellent sound detail, with natural balance. No word on pricing or release dates yet.
