D-Link has brought two new HD Wi-Fi enabled cameras to market supported by the mydlink app, extending the cameras’ abilities to include voice commands over Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
The two camera models can be bought online at D-Link’s website or in-store now, with the DCS-8300LH retailing for $229 and the DCS-8525LH selling for $249
The DCS-8300LH Full HD Wi-Fi Camera and the DCS-8525LH Full Range join the DCS-8000LH and DCS-8100LH to round out D-Link’s Smart Camera LH Series.
The range brings smart home technology to security cameras. Not only do the cameras record locally to Micro-SD cards but they also upload the recorded content to cloud servers for access anywhere.
Using the mydlink App gives users the ability to view live footage from all the cameras you have installed, either one by or simultaneously. Recorded video can also be accessed via the app.

The D-Link security cameras have preset scenarios can be programmed into the devices, allowing for customisable “one-tap” options and the ability to schedule presets.
The app can give notifications to the user when the motion or sound senors are activated so users can keep tabs on their home when out and about.
D-Link ANZ Managing Director Graeme Reardon explained the app enabled features: “Not only are there now affordable Cloud Recording options to support these cameras and ensure a more seamless Connected Home experience, but the customisation settings raise the bar to another level.
“For example, you can now set a camera to send you a notification when motion is detected while you are away from home, but then activate privacy mode when come home, which turns all cameras off automatically, with just a simple tap within the new mydlink app”
