The larger Sero 8 inch is $169 and both tabs run Android KitKat 4.4 – Hisense say the rich features now give it a massive advantage compared to other low priced tablets, like Acer.
Sero 7 (1024X700) has a 7″ TFT screen is super light at 270g with a dual core Cortex A9 processor, dual cameras and 8GB Rom expandable up to 32GB.
The Sero 8, meanwhile, has more grunt with a quad-core Cortex A9 processor running at 1.4Ghz, (1280 X800) HD IPS 8 inch screen and dual cameras. It weighs 460g.
The aggressively priced tabs will be hitting retailers over the coming weeks.
The launch marks Hisense’s commitment to the Google platform, on the back of new Hisense 4K Android TVs announced this month, says Iannuzzi.
“Android is core to our strategy moving forward.”
