HMD is reportedly preparing yet another budget phone, following the launch of its Vibe in the US earlier this month.
According to tipster smashx_60, prone to sharing details regarding upcoming HMD devices, has leaked that the HMD Atlas will be the successor to the Nokia G400 5G, which was launched back in 2022 in the US.
The leak indicates the design will be a flat body, with a rectangular camera module on the back. There’s expected to be slim bezels on the front with a punch-hole cut-out for the front camera.
It will reportedly feature a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display, with a FullHD+ resolution, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate.
It’s expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Additionally, the leak suggests there will be a 48MP main sensor camera, with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a depth sensor on the back. The front selfie camera is tipped to be 16MP sitting inside the punch-hole cut-out.
The battery is expected to be 5,500mAh, reportedly supporting Quick Charge 4.0 technology.
Connections include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC, and the phone will reportedly offer expandable storage via a microSD card.
There is also tipped to be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Finally, the leak also claims the Atlas will measure in at 163 x 75 x 8.75mm, weighing 210 grams.
Pricing for Australia is yet to be revealed, however, it’s expected to cost around U$239.99 (approx. A$363).
