Chinese smartphone giant, Huawei, has inadvertently leaked its ‘P30’ launch date, disclosed in a press release from its Polish division outlining workforce changes.
Despite being embroiled in a global privacy saga and the arrest of its CFO, Huawei Poland states it’s doubling the size of its workforce with 100 new hires.
The news follows the recent arrest of two Huawei Poland executives over spying allegations.
As spotted by GSMarena, the press release mentions the launch of its new P-series smartphone in Paris at “the end of March.”
The announcement will be nearly a year since the launch of P20 series, also unveiled in Paris.
Despite executive arrests and its ongoing privacy saga, Huawei Poland claims its taken market leadership of the local market with a 33.4% share [quantity terms].
The new hires come as Huawei seeks to double its efforts on tech outside of smartphones e.g. “laptops and accessories.”
