German audio equipment designer, Sennheiser, has partnered with smart accessories vendor, Tile, to input a Bluetooth tracker within its new Momentum wireless headphones.
The product was showcased at IFA 2019 in Berlin, with Tile claiming it’s at a “tipping point” with its embedded partnership expansion.
“We are reaching a tipping point in our embedded strategy with more and more products coming to market from amazing brands like Sennheiser,” adds Bryan Rodrigues, VP of Marketing, Tile.
“We are excited to be able to offer these brands and their customers the power that Tile can bring, helping keep track of everything that matter thanks to our technology and our growing worldwide community.”
The new Sennheiser Momentum Wireless headphones will release in Australia for A$599.95, and instantly turn on when unfolded, with smart intelligence to pause/play music when placed on/off.
A sandy white variant will release in November.
Now users can easily find their Momentum wireless headphones via the Tile app – even ring an alarm or put out a help call via the Tile Community Find app.
“Tile technology offers our customers another very practical feature to add to our latest MOMENTUM model,” claims Sebastian Rodens, Product Manager at Sennheiser.
“It means we not only offer uncompromised sound through the amazing quality of the headphones, but a way of keeping track of the headphones easily. We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Tile.”
The news comes as the premium wireless headphone market continues to heat up, with competition from the likes of Jabra, Bose and Sony – featuring artificial intelligence noise cancelling or other next-gen smarts.
Tile has announced it received $45 million in new funding in July, used to advance its embedded partnerships, propel international growth and more.
The smart accessories manufacturer expects the amount of Tile-enabled third party products to grow by millions across several new verticals by the end of 2019.
