Only weeks after announcing the X4 and Tarah earphones, Logitech’s Jaybird is revamping their Tarah line with the Tarah Pro earbuds which claim to offer an impressive battery life of up 14 hours on a single charge, available soon for $229.95.

The Tarah Pros are set to headline Jaybird’s new Pro Series which are designed with the needs of hardcore and professional athletes in mind.

They are similar in style to the Tarah earphones, featuring a similar barrel-shaped earbud, and sporting the redesigned “eargel” design that combines silicone tips and ear fins into a single piece.

The cable connecting the two buds is reflective to provide added visibility during outdoor workouts that go into the evening and is made of a more comfortable fabric than previous models.

The remote is also subtly curved so it rests against your head when the cord is cinched for wearing in over-ear style.

The earbuds are also magnetic so they can stick together when they are not in use and secured around the neck.

Like Jaybird’s other releases this year, the Tarah Pro is IPX7 water resistant, meaning it can take rain, splashes, or sweat.

The real draw here is the impressive battery life, while 14 hours might seem like a lofty claim, even if they only last to 12 hours that is still impressive and well above its other offerings: six hours for Tarahs and eight hours on the X4s.

Jaybird also claims that only five minutes on the charger can provide two hours of playback.

Jaybird will be selling the Tarah Pro in ‘Black Flash’ and ‘Mineral Blue-Jade’ from their website for $229.95 AUD. No news on when they will be available in Australia.
