Klipsch has announced the debut of two new premium soundbars designed to look and sound like the brands premium Reference speakers.
Available now, the Klipsch BAR 48 and BAR 40 soundbars are both capable of delivering Dolby® and DTS® 5.1 formats natively through its built-in surround sound processing technologies.
Designed to be easy to use and upgradeable, 3.1 and 2.1 soundbars respectively can be transformed into a 5.1 setup with the optional SURROUND 3 speakers.
Both wireless speakers come with a subwoofer that can be controlled independently of the soundbar.
Each soundbar features handcrafted wood enclosures, designed to look like Klipsch’s premium speaker line-up, and reduce unwanted resonance interference common in plastic enclosures.
The most striking aesthetic of the new speakers is the 90° X 90° Tractrix® Horns exposed on either side of the soundbars to create ‘true left and right stereo all in a soundbar’.
The Klipsch BAR 48 is a high performance 3.1 soundbar, featuring a dedicated centre channel speaker a wireless 8″ subwoofer, while the 2.1 Klipsch BAR 40 features a 6.5″ wireless subwoofer.
Each soundbar measure in at 2.8″ tall, with the BAR 40 measuring in at 8″ shorter in length than the BAR 48
The Klipsch BAR 48 and BAR 40 will be available from Harvey Norman and other authorised resellers at the RRP of $1,248 and $848 respectively, with the optional SURROUND 3 speaker available for RRP $599/pair.
