LG have announced a new low-end smartphone, aimed at customers who want to take strong selfies without paying a high price.
The LG K8 will be available through JB Hi-Fi from this week. LG aren’t shying away from the fact that this is a budget phone but say they’ve done their best to pack it full of photography-minded features.
They say “the LG K8 emphasises practicality, with a slim arched screen and woven back cover that fits the curves of your hand. It features a 5MP front-facing camera and 13MP rear-facing camera, combined with Auto Shot and Gesture Shot functionalities.”
They’re also highlighting the device’s bright 5.0-inch HD display (wrapped up in 2.5D Arc glass), said to be smooth to the touch.
Spec-wise, the K8’s sights are set a little lower. It’s got a MediaTek MT6737 processor and 1.5GB of RAM, rounded out by 16GB of internal storage.
The LG K8 is available at an RRP of $249 through JB Hi-Fi.
