LG has launched its new UltraFine 5K Display Monitor specifically designed for the latest Apple computing products (including Mac and iPad Pro).
The new 27-inch UltraFine 5K Display (model 27MD5KL) joins LG’s 24-inch UltraFine 4K Display (24MD4KL) – pledging amazing image quality when connected to an iPad Pro, Mac desktop or laptop.
“The first LG UltraFine series was well received by creative professionals for its exceptional performance and convenience,” claims Jang Ik-hwan, head of LG’s IT business division.
“Ease of use, seamless integration, and stunning screen quality make LG UltraFine monitors a great choice for Apple users.”
The UltraFine 5K supports Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C, and allows users to create a versatile Mac workstation with video, audio and data transfer via a single cable.
The monitor can also charge any USB-C compliant host (e.g. Mac or iPad) via 94 watts of power.
Designed for creative professionals, designers, photographers and videographers, the UltraFine 5K is an ultra-wide screen with precise detail and colour.
The screen offers a P3 wide colour gamut and 500-nit brightness for optimised images, with no calibration required.
The monitor offers a built-in camera, microphone and stereo speakers for immersive entertainment.
Boasting 218 pixels per inch (PPI), the monitor delivers over 14.7 million pixels for “incredibly lifelike images and razor sharp text.”
Convenience is maximised via an adjustable height and tilt, with brightness control also customisable via the Touch Bar or MacBook Pro keyboard.
The monitor’s ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness once connected to a Mac.
LG’s UltraFine 5K is now available at selected US Apple Stores, and online, with Australian availability and pricing to be confirmed.
