LG Electronics has won 21 Red Dot design awards with two of its products nabbing ‘Best of the Best’ titles, the Signature Kitchen Suite Pro Range oven and LG CineBeam Laser 4K projector.
Other LG products that received awards includes the Signature Kitchen Suite Refrigerator, Code Zero R9 robot vacuum cleaner and air purifier, LG Signature OLED TV, UltraWide monitors and its G6 and V30 flagship smartphones.
Noh Chang-ho, head of corporate design at LG Electronics says, “These honours reflect the wide recognition of LG’s distinctive competitiveness in design. Our commitment is to continue focusing on the essence of LG products based on our in-depth understanding of customer demand.”
The Signature Kitchen Pro range has a built-in sous vide, induction and gas, the Wi-Fi enabled oven is powered by SmartThinQ Technology, a open platform allowing for convenient remote control operation with app control available for Android or iOS.
The LG CineBeam Laser 4K projector comes in a portable size and upright design with a mirrorless I-shaped engine allowing the projector to be used in various places including the floor, mounted on the wall or hanging from the ceiling.
The Red Dot Design Awards are seen in a similar light to the iF Design Awards.
The Red Dot judges viewed 5,300 other designs from 59 countries.
