MELBOURE: Microsoft has cancelled its IoT in Action event set to be held in Melbourne on March 5 amid dwindling customer and partner interest.
“After close consultation with our partners and community, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the IoT in Action Melbourne event this March 5, 2020,” the company said.
“We are cancelling this event because many of our customers and partners are no longer able to attend and continuing to hold the event would no longer meet our business goals.”
Microsoft’s IoT in Action events are saiid to be aimed at building new IoT experiences and driving rapid innovation in businesses with an intelligent edge.
The first IoT in Action event took place in San Jose, California, in 2017, kicking off a worldwide movement that has grown to include 30 cities and more than 17,500 attendees from around the world.
