Fetch TV Australia has signed a deal with Icon Film Distribution which will give its subscribers access to new release movies as part of the Fetch TV basic subscription.
The agreement will mean that FetchTV subscribers will get access to a wide range of blockbuster and classic movies from Icon’s movie collection, such as Michael Caine’s new movie Harry Brown, on a pay-per-view basis. All movies will be available on-demand, instantly, with no downloading time.
Scott Lorson, CEO, FetchTV said: “Icon is responsible for some of the biggest movies viewed in Australia, and we’re pleased to be able to provide these movies to FetchTV subscribers.”
New-release movies will be priced at $6.95 for HD or $5.95 for standard definition films. Library films will be available for as little as $3.95.
Greg Hughes, Chief Operating Officer, at ICON said: “On demand is an integral part of Icon’s growth plans and the addition of Icon’s films to Fetch TV’s service is an exciting development in this emerging channel.”
