NBN Co has agreed to keep wholesale prices for Internet services supplied via the National Broadband Network to a maximum rise of half the increase of inflation.
This proposal is part of NBN Co’s special access undertaking (SAU) lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission yesterday.
Newswire AAP notes the SAU sets out terms of access over the 30 years of NBN Co’s corporate plan, which was released in late 2010.
It provides commitments on how NBN Co would price its services over the long term, and ensure the government enterprise would recover no more than its incurred costs to build the network.
