As Apple tries to stop Samsung selling its Galaxy Tablet and S II smartphone the Korean giant has revealed an upgraded Galaxy S II.The new phone comes with a larger 4.5-inch screen and an even faster dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor, features that Apple are lacking in Apple’s iPhone. It also has NFC and a larger 1,850mAh battery (up from 1,650mAh).
Samsung Australia hasn’t given out release dates for the new phone or their new tablet which Samsung Australia said was different than the one being contested by Apple in the Federal Court.
The redesigned Galaxy S II and the revamping is uncharacteristic for Samsung, which often leaves its flagship smartphones untouched all year. Suspicions already exist that the faster Galaxy S II is a defensive measure against the iPhone 5’s rumored for an October release.
