Panasonic Adds To Lumix Line-Up With Four New Cameras

Lumix DMC-G85

The DMC-G85 has been designed for field photography, decked out with a weather-sealed splash and dustproof design, protecting its joints, dials and buttons against extreme conditions.

The DMC-G85 features 5-axis dual-image stabilisation, with 5-axis in-body stabilisation and 2-axis optical stabilisation in the lens, along with 4K photo and video functions, and Post Focus with Focus Stacking.

Panasonic states that a new “electromagnetically driven shutter is quiet and reduces shutter-induced vibration for excellent sharpness – delivering speeds from 60 sec to 1/4000 sec”, while the OLED live view-finder (2360k-dot) features an increased magnification of 0.74x (35 mm camera equivalent).

The DMC-G85 is equipped with a 16 MP Digital Live MOS sensor, with the low-pass filter removed, and a Venus Engine processor, while Panasonic states its “new AF Sensitivity mode lets the user set tracking sensitivity according to the shooting requirement”.

The DMC-G85 will be available in Australia in late October, with the body available in black, priced at:

Lumix DMC-FZ2500

The DMC-FZ2500 digital compact camera is equipped with a 20x optical zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens (35 mm camera equivalent 24-480 mm), and a 1″ 20.1 MP MOS sensor, along with 4K video recording in Cinema 4K resolution and 4K Photo.

Its OLED live view-finder (2360k-dot) delivers an increased magnification of 0.74x (35 mm camera

equivalent).

“The Lumix DMC-FZ2500 combines a sleek, strong exterior design with intuitive controls,” Panasonic states.

“The well-defined grip provides a stable hold with minimum fatigue. For quick operation, the lens barrel includes focus and zoom rings, three customisable Fn buttons and easy access to the four ND filter modes.

“Shutter speed and aperture can be set using either the front or rear dial. The SD card slot is conveniently located at the side of the camera for access when it is tripod-mounted.”

Priced at $1,699 RRP, the DMC-FZ2500 will be available in Australia in November.

Lumix DMC-LX10

The compact DMC-LX10 is decked out with an F1.4 high-speed lens, 1″ MOS sensor and 4K Photo and Video, delivered “in a sleek, pocket-sized frame”.

“The DMC-LX10 is stylish, small and capable, making it ideal as a pocketable camera to capture impressive images and video on the fly,” Panasonic states.
