In a ranking of TVs Consumer Report gave Panasonic’s Viera the top spot followed by a Samsung 60-inch LED TV. LG’s Infinia (also 60 inches) came in third followed by a Vizio 60″ TV. Sony with their Bravia KDL model came in fifth.
A Sanyo TV was named the “Budget Pick” by the magazine.
“With prices continuing to fall on TVs with larger screen sizes, this is actually a great time to be looking for a new set,” Jim Willcox, senior editor for electronics at Consumer Reports, said as part of the release of the rankings last week. “While there are a number of TVs in our TV Ratings that are worth considering, the five models we’ve identified are especially noteworthy for sports fans looking to buy a new set.”
