UK digital radio brand, Pure, has re-launched in Australia, following a two year hiatus.
The British company states it’s a “pioneer of digital radio”, and the first to “fully embrace” the technology in 1999 – notching over five million global sales.
Pure digital radios are now available from; Myer, Retravision and selected independents.
Products include Pure’s new ‘Siesta’ bedside digital radios (from $169.99), and its luxe ‘Evoke’ portable radios (from $249.99). (Further product information and pricing available on Pure’s website here).
Pure CCO, Rob Haycock, asserts Australia is a “fantastic market for digital radio”, with latest Gfk data affirming live radio remains “number one”, despite the rise of streaming media.
Local distributor, Aqipa, is confident in Pure’s re-launch, following increased roll-out of DAB+ in Australia:
