140 inch Carson Screens integrates style and size into a premium viewing screen for the avid film aficionado.

With visual content being injected with more vivid colour, higher resolution and extra dimensions, viewers are pushing their home theatres for a more immersive experience. A big chunk of that experience comes from the size of the screen; mimicking the cinema experience.
Carson Screens is offering a 140 inch fixed screen for theatre-style projection in the home – an upgrade on the typical 100 inch screens. The extra large screen is housed by a bevelled frame coated in a silky velour that makes it stylish with the light on and out-of-mind during playback.
The frame is wider in somewhat of a visual statement, so it’s up to the viewer whether or not they like the extra chunky side panels or would prefer the thinner variety. Hidden behind the frame are 40 mounting points for the backdrop material, which means less sag in the fabric over time and a more constant, flat surface for lossless picture quality.

Though it’s a fixed screen rather than the scroll-out variety, the ‘fixed’ isn’t to be taken too literally. An added bonus for a little bit of customisation is the ability to slide the screen left and right on the four hidden mounting brackets.
With its sturdy but light build, the screen can be adjusted by hand at the millimetre level to get the perfect position in the room, even if you change your mind after you’ve mounted the screen.
The screen has been made simple for an easier assembly at home, with Carson Screens opting for internal joints in the frame rather than separate external brackets to hold the four edge pieces together. It looks better from the back and makes less work when it’s being put together.
The 140 inch screen from Carson Screens is available for $3490 through Digital Cinema.
