Samsung Electronics is rumoured to deploy a whopping 50W charging onto its new Galaxy Note 10, with commentators predicting it will set the standard for top-end flagship phones.
The news was teased on Twitter by renowned tech insider, Ice Universe, with Forbes corroborating claims the Note 10 will feature above 25W charging.
“You should be thinking bigger [not smaller],” claims Forbes‘ source.
“That’s all I can say about it right now but expect to be pleasantly surprised and not disappointed when the charging specs are released publicly.”
By matter of comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy S10 features a 15W charger.
Chinese manufacturer, Oppo, already offers a SuperVOOC charger with its new Find X Lamborghini edition which reportedly hits ~50W i.e. flat to full charge in around 35 minutes.
The rumours follows early reports that Samsung was canning 25W fast-charging from its Galaxy Note 10, with today’s news a pleasant surprise for tech enthusiasts.
The predecessing Galaxy Note 9 incorporates a 4,000mAh battery, with commentators predicting the Note 10 will bump up higher.
