Samsung has launched a new top-mounted freezer range as well as seven new smartly designed side-by-side refrigerators that promise to deliver smarter storage solutions with its improved interior design.
The new top-mounted freezer range has a 223 litre (SR223NME) or 244 litre (SR244NME) gross capacity and offers features such as a Silver Nano Deodoriser that aims to remove odours within the fridge via a filter, deep door bins, a can/egg dispenser, large fruit and vegetable bins, a twist ice maker, multi-flow cooling, and full body insulation.
Samsung’s Senior Product Manager for Kitchen Appliances, Mike Lilly said, “This refrigerator range builds on Samsung’s current leading refrigeration market position by providing consumers with an affordable product, with a genuine, feature-rich alternative to what’s now on offer. With smarter interior construction, Samsung has developed a highly functional product range.”
The seven new side-by-side refrigerator claims to offer capacities from 585 litres up to 626 litres, stainless steel and glossy white finishes, ice and water dispenser and electronically controlled models. The new models also have convenient new features such as built-in wine racks, a removable serving tray shelf, a ‘z’-shelf, and improved lighting.
“Samsung has secured number one position in the side-by-side refrigeration category which means we’re responsible for roughly three in every 10 side-by-side fridges sold. This is a great achievement for Samsung, and we will continue to stay ahead by designing and producing products that impact practically and aesthetically in the kitchen space,” added Mike Lilly.

Samsung’s top-mounted freezers is now available with an RRP of $559 and $649 for the SR223NME (223 litre) and SR244NME (244 litre) models.
