The Xacti VPC-CG9 also enables simultaneous shooting of video clips and still images with a simple press of the shutter button during the recording of a movie clip. Its macro shooting also allows users to get as close as 1 cm from subjects when the lens is set to the wide-angle end for close-up shots of tiny objects in sharp detail.
In addition, capturing large groups is simple with the very latest Face Chaser technology for still photos. The function automatically detects and isolates faces to assist the camera’s exposure and auto-focus and can recognise up to 12 faces in one shot.
With high compression MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format encoding technology, this delivers high video clarity and detail whilst maintaining the smallest file size possible. The Xacti VPC-CG9 also includes 40 Mb internal memory, which is expandable up to 32 Gb with a SDHC memory card.
