TCL the Company behind Alcatel and Blackberry, are fast earning a reputation for being one of the smart phone Companies operating in the pre-paid and value end of the smartphone market.
The overall #3 in the Australian market the company has rolled out several new Alcatel models at IFA 2017.
ChannelNews has also been shown an all new black Blackberry that will be launched in Australia via JB Hi Fi.
The new Blackberry device is sleek and ideal for people who live on a keyboard.
A brand new Idol 5S features a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor, and comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display and 3GB RAM, and is being powered by a 2,850mAh battery.
The phone will also come with a new feature called ‘App Cloner’, which Alcatel describes as a function that lets you stay logged into various business, personal and private accounts on the same social app, it also allows one to switch between accounts easily.
Built into this device is a 12MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture, the front facing camera is 8MP. The Idol 5S will only launch in a Dark Gray.
A new Idol 5, which is similar to the 5S, it has a MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM and comes with a slightly smaller 13MP camera, and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The phone will available in a Metal Black, and a Metal Silver.
During the past quarter Alcatel Australia grew their business by over 20% with carriers such as Optus and Vodafone benefiting from the brand to take share away from Telstra in the Pre-Paid market.
Both carriers and retailers in Australia are tipped to also range a new Idol A7 and A7 XL.
Also available is the Alcatel A7 which is a slightly bigger, slightly more powerful, yet cheaper version of the Idol 5.

Also released is a MOVETIME 3G Family Watch specifically designed for kids. TThe device allows children message or call their parents.
An SOS button on the watch can also initiate a call for help in the event of an emergency, also built in is a location tracker so that parents can track their siblings.
It is also designed with geo-fence technology which will alert the parent when their child has left a specified area.
MOVETIME has fun features like changeable watch faces and a colourful design while the touchscreen is child-friendly and gives them access to built-in games.
It is also robust and waterproof with an IP67 rating and the 450mAh battery will run for two days before it needs recharging.
MOVETIME will be available in Australia in early 2018.
