Apple has decided to change the review system of its App Store, preventing users from writing a ‘review’ if one did not purchase or download the application.

“In order to write a Customer Review for this item you must have purchased or downloaded it,” says the popup box as we tried to place a review on one of the available Apps.
This is good as it will prevent users who don’t even own the application to fill the user review section up with useless spam and reviews about the said application.
The downside is, if an application really sucks, then a reviewer will have to buy it, which will turn out to be a waste of money. It also means that reviewers cannot inform people whether an application will be of any use to them. “I am Rich” anyone?
