Philips is expanding its range of Hue smart home lighting products with two new lamps.
The new Wellner and Wellness table lamps are part of the Philips Hue White Ambiance range, which allow the shade of white emitted by the light to be controlled to match the setting and time of day.
“To put it simply, consumers can have one light to support all of their daily activities,” explains Mark Cieri, Vice President & General Manager, Home Systems, Philips Lighting US.
“Think about all of the moments you enjoy in your kitchen. Select a cool daylight scene for your morning coffee to energize for the day ahead. Help your child focus on their homework with a bright white light. Then, create a cozy ambiance for dinner under a warm light to wind down,” Cieri said.
Both lamps feature the same connectivity found in Philips Hue light bulbs and other products, and are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Nest, Samsung SmartThings and a range of other smart home devices.
The lamps are powered by a Philips Hue White Ambiance A19 light bulb with 800 lumens of brightness.
Philips also announced a range of new ceiling light fixtures, as well as a new E12-base candle bulb.
Pricing and availability for Australia has not been announced, but the two lamps will retail for US$99.99 ($135) in the US.
