
Days after rolling out a new PC gaming range in Australia, ASUS is set to roll out a new line-up of B2B and consumer notebooks and Chromebooks.
One of the new AUS products is set to be the ZenBook S13 which has a 97% screen-to-body ratio, a 13.9-inch NanoEdge narrow-bezel display.
Heavier than the Acer Travel Mate X the new ASUS offering has the latest Intel Core processor and Nvidia’s MX150 discrete graphics card. It weighs 1.1kg whereas the Acer offering is sub 1Kg.
In addition, Asustek also showcased several products for CAD users including ProArt monitors, ProArt PA90 mini PC and StudioBook S workstation notebooks.
Asustek will host a launch conference at Computex 2019 on the 27th of May 2018.

ASUS Zenbook S13
Currently, all of the major PC brands are struggling to hold onto market share as Worldwide PC shipments, falling around 4% on year in the first quarter of 2019.
This is set to improve as Intel CPU shortages start to ease in June 2019.
To maintain their profitability Companies such as Acer, Lenovo and Hewlett Packard’s are introducing more gaming and high-end ultra-thin models in 2019.
Both Taiwan-based Companies Asus and Acer have already turned to push gaming and ultra-thin products.
Asus saw its notebook shipment decreases slowing down during the first quarter and will begin launching new notebook models in May to help improve its profitability in the second half of 2019 the Company said recently.
Both Acer and ASUS along with MSI have seen strong growth in the gaming market, but the niche market segment’s limited shipment volumes are unable to help them offset the sharp shipment declines in their entry-level to mid-range models.
Overall, mid-range to high-end ultra-thin notebooks accounted for 40-50% of worldwide notebook shipments and global gaming notebook shipments also enjoyed 20% on-year increase in the first quarter.
For the first quarter of 2019, Asustek (Asus) saw its on-year notebook shipment decline 7%, compared to a decline of 10% in the same quarter of 2018.
