Apple says its iOS 9 mobile operating system is now running on three-quarters of iPhones and iPads, thanks to the holiday season.
In just four months since its entry to the market, iOS 9 is experiencing adoption at a faster rate than iOS 8, which took about six months to reach the same percentage.
Apple data shows that just 19 percent of i-devices still run iOS 8, while seven percent remain on an older version of the software.
It also shows a huge contrast to the adoption rate of Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which Google confirmed last week is running on just 0.7 percent of devices
