Bush Comes Back With WiFi Radio

British HiFi brand Bush, which is known for manufacturing radios back when they still called them a ‘Wireless’, has now made a comeback with a modern update; and it’s still a Wireless of sorts – it’s a WiFi radio.

The Bush Wi-Fi (TR2015) internet radio features auto set-up, it also streams music files from your PC and can be used in any

room of the house. The company says the device will automatically locate and connect to your wireless broadband router to get you connected to the 6500 or so stations currently available from over 150 countries. You can request to add any station via www.reciva.com for free.

You can also download podcasts directly to your PC with on demand programming, and play music tracks stored on your PC (in formats including WMA, REAL, MP3 and AAC) through the device. Alarm and sleep functions are also in place if you wish to use the device in the bedroom.

But if this is all a bit new-fangled for you – Bush also has some options that will

appeal to the retro soul. A line of budget-priced retro radios including the 1960s reproduction TR130 which features an FM/MW/LW tuner with push button band selector, headphone socket, mains and battery operation and a “leather-effect” finish in black or tan.

Also in keeping with the retro theme is a new micro-system (RPA3) which includes a turntable, CD player, FM/MW radio in one. But the cool thing about this system is that

you can play your vinyl or your CDs and record the music to MP3 format through the encoding function from CD/Turntable to a USB flash drive or an SD card. (A USB and SD and MMC card slot is included in the system).
