According to UK site Product Reviews, Apple is set to launch a new album app for the iPod touch and the iPhone.

According to the article, Apple is set on making this interactive album application downloadable via the App Store, allowing fans that download the app to “get extra content like lyrics, pictures, and artwork”.
According to the report, this is apparently the first time any application has been made in this way. The app will be designed to allow users a more interactivity with videos and content.
No comment was forthcoming at the time of publishing from Apple.
