Logitech today announced the Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse, an upgraded version of the fan-favourite Logitech G502 Gaming Mouse. It retains the same iconic design but has levelled up the mouse with Logitech G’s next-generation HERO 16K Sensor, which Logitech claims is the highest performance and most accurate sensor available today.
“The original G502 is a fan favourite, but we’ve developed some incredible sensor technology since it first launched,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming. “Adding HERO 16K to G502 makes it even more awesome, and we think people are going to love it.”
The industry-leading HERO (High-Efficiency Rated Optical) 16K sensor is built for ultimate speed, accuracy and responsiveness, and Logitech claims it is the best and most efficient gaming sensor they have ever made.
Featuring an all-new lens and updated tracking algorithm, the mouse delivers ultra-precise tracking with no acceleration, smoothing or filtering over the entire DPI range. The Logitech HERO 16K Sensor is capable of exceeding 400 IPS and delivering 16,000 DPI tracking with pixel-precise accuracy.
In addition to the new sensor, the mouse also features 11 buttons, which can be programmed and customised through Logitech Gaming Software (LGS), for select commands and macros.
The upgraded mechanical switch, made in collaboration with Omron, delivers 50M click durability.
It also has an adjustable weight system with five 3.6g weights with which users can adjust the mouse’s centre of balance.
Lighting can be customised using 16.8 million colours via Logitech G’s LIGHTSYNC RGB technology, up to five profiles can be stored, so you can take your customised settings with you.
The upgraded Logitech G502 HERO still features textured rubber side button grips and an updated braided cable and a dual-mode hyper scroll.
The Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse in black is available now at all major retailers for a suggested retail price of $129.95 AUD.
