Motorola looks to have set a date for the reveal of the new Moto Z2 Force.
A not-so-subtle invitations to a product launch event sent out to media warns attendees that their expectations are about to be ‘shattered’, all but confirming the focus of the reveal.
A follow-up to last year’s Moto X Force, the Z2 Force is expected to offer a comparable level of durability while sweetening the deal with MotoMod support.
Previous reports have indicated the phone will feature a thinner variation on heavy-duty “shatterproof” build of its predecessor. It’s also expected to arrive powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor and featuring a powerful dual-lens camera – an aspect of the smartphone arms race that Moto haven’t really distinguished themselves in thus far.
The original X Force reviewed quite favorably. In our review, we said “Motorola should feel confident in what they’ve brought to market. This is a handset with more than just confidence on its side. They’ve got a mid-tier winner on their hands.”
The Moto Z2 Force will join the Moto Z2 Play as part of Motorola’s 2017 Moto Z range, with the flagship Moto Z2 still due for a reveal sometime this year.
