Panasonic have provided NASA with their new AG-DA1 Full HD 3D camcorder to capture 3D footage of the International Space Station on NASA’s space shuttle mission. This marks the final mission for space shuttle Atlantis, after embarking on 33 flights and 135 missions.
The 3D camcorder will capture 3D images of the International Space Station which Panasonic intend to showcase to consumer and professional audiences worldwide.
Throughout their training and preparation, astronauts have been using the Panasonic 3D Camcorder with 25.5″ 3D LCD (BT-3DL2550) monitors and ruggedised Toughbook laptop computers.
“Panasonic is delighted that the 3DA1 3D camcorder is playing a vital role in documenting this momentous NASA mission. Human spaceflight is about the discovery of new things and places. The amazing 3D images that the 3DA1 produces may allow a new and unique view of the exploration of space for many applications”, said Panasonic in their media release.
