Oculus has revealed the first “Oculus Ready PCs”, with the PCs, bundled with its virtual reality Rift headset, soon to go on pre-order.The PCs – from Asus, Alienware and Dell – will go on pre-order from February 16, Oculus advised via a blog post.
Oculus has not specified whether the bundles will be available in Australia, however states that they will be going out to “select countries”.
“Pre-orders for Oculus Ready and Rift bundles will ship in limited quantities to select countries and regions from retail partners starting in April,” Oculus states.
The PC and Rift bundles start at US$1,499.
Along with the Oculus Ready PC and Rift headset, all bundles come with a sensor, remote, an Xbox One controller, and VR games EVE: Valkyrie Founder’s Pack and Lucky’s Tale!
Oculus states that customers who have already pre-ordered the Rift will be able to purchase discounted Oculus Ready PCs in select countries and regions.
Of course, other PCs can be paired with a Rift headset, with Oculus recommending a PC specification of an Nvidia GTX 970/AMD 290 equivalent or greater, Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater and 8 GB-plus RAM.
