Notable tech leaker, Evan Blass, has revealed that Samsung’s Galaxy S9 smartphone will ship in March, citing a C-level executive of a ‘major casemaker’ as his source.
Blass claims that the Galaxy S9 & larger Galaxy S9+ will be available to pre-order from March 1st, and will go on sale from March 16th.
Samsung’s new flagship phones are tipped to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 26th.
According to a C-level executive at a major casemaker, the go-to-market schedule for Galaxy S9 / S9+ is as follows:
Launch – 2/26
Pre-orders – 3/1
Ships/releases – 3/16— Evan Blass (@evleaks) January 16, 2018
Based on the release dates of former flagship Samsung phones, many market commentators find Blass’ information plausible.
Thus far, Samsung has confirmed the S9 will features updates to its Bixby smart assistant.
The S9 is rumoured to have a more accessible fingerprint scanner, and a single-lens camera. The larger S9+ is tipped to feature a dual-lens camera.
