Samsung has sought to de-clutter Aussie homes and workplaces, with the release of its revolutionary ‘Space’ PC monitor, following its unveiling at CES.
Appealing to minimalists, the Space monitor features an innovative fully-integrated clamp, which grips onto the back of a person’s desk.
The screen’s adjustable hinge allows users to easily amend its position for optimum comfort, with the clamp freeing ample desk space.
Cable clutter is further reduced with power and HDMI cords running together at the back arm for a sleek aesthetic.
The monitor is locally available in either a 4K UHD 32-inch (A$999) or 21-inch (A$799) model, pledging QHD resolution with a high-performance, detailed picture output.
The release follows latest Kantar research (Samsung Desk Hygiene Research May 2019) revealing 34% of Aussie workers admit to being “bothered” by their co-worker’s messy desks.
A further 60% believe the state of a person’s work desk is a reflection of “who they are as person” – i.e. affecting professional perception.
Developed by Japanese ‘tidy queen’ Marie Kondo, the KonMari method has been showcased in Netflix’s highly popular Tidying Up with Marie Kondo TV series – further igniting the minimalist movement amongst Australians.
Samsung’s Space monitor seeks to capitalise on the ‘tidy trend’, pledging to alleviate workplace tension, reduce staff anxiety and increase productivity via clutter-free workplaces.
“Space introduces an elegant new form factor, starting a brand new category for monitors,” claims Phil Gaut, Director of Display and Memory Solutions, Samsung Australia.
“With its unique arm design freeing up desk real estate previously occupied by monitor stands, Space gives Australians the minimalist style and flexibility to get their work done.”
Referencing the KonMari method, Mr Gaut asserts the Space monitor may even help Aussies “spark a little more joy at the office.”
“Many Australians are looking to adopt a tidier, more streamlined approach to work and their desk space, and the Samsung Space is a new option for workplaces to consider.”
The Samsung Space monitor is now available to purchase from several locally authorised retailers, with further information available here.
