As global demand for 2-in-1 laptops continue to rise, Samsung has unveiled its latest offering, the new ‘Notebook 9 Pen’ – a premium laptop with a built-in ‘S Pen’, as found with its Galaxy Note smartphones.
Aimed at ‘creators’ and graphic designers, the laptop claims to be the “perfect [digital] book to draw” on, and is positioned as a robust, portable PC.
With all-metal and aluminium frame, plus full metal body, the Note 9 Pen will release in two new colours, ‘Ocean Blue’ and ‘Platinum White.’ (Australian availability yet to be confirmed).
The laptop’s S Pen is more intuitive than a traditional stylus, and claims to react as though putting pen to paper – courtesy of up to 2x reduced latency from the previous model.
Catering to graphic designers, users can swap in three different S Pen tips according to preference.
Stored directly in the PC, the S Pen never requires recharging, with all sketched notes saves instantly.
Samsung Electronics Senior VP & Head of PC Business Team Mobile Communications, YoungGyoo Choi, asserts the Notebook 9 Pen features its most advanced S Pen yet.
The notebook incorporates the latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor, plus expandable storage, two versatile Thunderbolt 3 ports, and next-generation Gigabit WiFi support.
With face and fingerprint log-in, battery life is a notable 15 hours.
The new Samsung Notebook 9 Pen will release in Korea from December 14, followed by USA, China, Brazil, and Hong Kong starting in early 2019. (Australian pricing and availability yet to be confirmed).
For immersive entertainment, the Notebook 9 Pen boasts AKG speakers, with new ThunderAmp smart amplifier technology to increase volume max capacity to 5 Watts each – reducing the need for external speakers.
