US speaker brand SVS has unveiled what it claims is the most engineered speaker in its history.
Acoustic engineers spent more time than ever before voicing the new Prime Pinnacle floorstanding speakers ($3890) in an attempt to satisfy audiophiles and home cinema enthusiasts, the company claims.
The Prime Pinnacle features a newly-designed driver array with three self-contained 6.5-inch woofers, a 5.25-inch midrange driver and 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter.
The three woofers have also been paired with a port each, promising smooth and powerful bass.
SVS said the included SoundMatch 3-Way crossover helps the drivers blend and deliver accurate frequency response.
The company claims a wide listening range and convincing sound stage on or off-axis, aiming to deliver quality sound to all listeners, regardless of whether they’re in the speakers’ “sweet spot”.
The Prime Pinnacle speakers are available later this month through Interdyn.
