The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) are quickly taking over the home theatre game with over 60 leading consumer electronics brands, and at CES 2020, the association showcased it’s line-up of WiSA-ready products, demonstrating the future of wireless audio with the likes of LG, Harman Kardon and Sharp.
WiSA certification covers not just speakers, but TVs as well, with the Association looking to set a “new gold standard” within the audio industry by “powering and connecting the most advanced devices and systems for wireless home audio”.
The wireless audio platform can support a number of different components, devices and systems across multiple brands for a more cost-effective and more efficient way to set-up and operate your 7.1 and Atmos 5.1.2 speakers.
At CES 2020, LG continued its support of the wireless audio movement by making their 2020 line of OLEDs and NanoCell TVs WiSA ready.
According to Tim Alessi, LG senior director of Product Marketing, the collaboration between LG and WiSA provides the ideal solution to ensure superior sound, easy setup and wide compatibility.

Harman Kardon has launched its second WiSA-certified solution with its HK Surround 5.1 – a complete and pre-configured speaker system with wireless audio.
Sharp is also joining forces with WiSA with their 8K speakerless TV that is currently in development.
“Speakerless TVs are ‘the future of the industry’, and WiSA is proud to be playing an integral role as the cutting-edge audio solution to the market’s top TV manufacturers and brands,” concluded Tony Ostrom, WiSA President.
