Better known for their cables and Beats headphones, Monster is set to release a new HD speaker system that has been described as being “nothing short of sensational”.
The speaker that has a built in iPod dock is set to go on sale in Australia in September for around $899.
Overseas reviewers are “raving” about the device which is said to deliver exceptional sound from a floor standing speaker.
The new HD Model One High Definition Multi-Media Speaker delivers “exceptional clarity”. It has 6.5-inch bass drivers with 4-layer voice coils and proprietary soft-dome tweeters.

According to Geoff Mathews the CEO of Convoy, the Monster distributor in Australia, the new Monster speaker is set to be one of the best sub $1,000 sound products launched this year.
“This is a stunning product that is attracting a lot of attention because of the sound quality delivered from a floor standing speaker with iPod dock”.
The speaker has a digital amplifier and an iPod dock built into their bookshelf-sized speaker.
Other features include a mini-jack input, a balanced 1/4-inch TRS input, and RCA inputs. Monster will also include a StreamCast Port for future add-ons, including Monster’s own upcoming Bluetooth module.
If you’re into matching speakers to your room or mood, Monster will offer the ClarityHD Model One in a variety of colours. When the speaker launches in Australia it will come in yellow and red. More colour options will follow.
