New boss wants to grow mobile PC’s in AustraliaPortia Chang is to lead the ASUS System Business Group in ANZ.
The PC giant announced the appointment of Chang as new Regional Head of System Business Group for Australia and New Zealand, in charge of laptops, tablets, mobile devices and accessories but not components or desktops.
Vivian Hung, the departing Regional Head, is taking up a new role in ASUS’ Taipei headquarters.
The role will see the ASUS veteran managing the group based in the company’s Sydney head office.
The appointment is effective immediately. A veteran employee of ASUS, Chang brings more than ten years experience in consumer technology business to the role.
Most recently, she was Managing Director for ASUS Benelux, and spent several years in ASUS United Kingdom, Hungary and the Nordic countries, in key roles in sales, business development and leadership.
Chang said,”I look forward to growing our brand and market share in Australia.”
