Beats – a subsidiary of Apple – has released a new premium range of wireless headphones, positioned as the most high-end of Apple’s headphone product suite, and the only one with active noise canceling capabilities.
The ‘Beats Studio 3 Wireless’ headphones will reportedly sell for US$350 and are said to be a revamped version of Beats’ over-ear Studio Wireless headphones, which are now discontinued.
Whilst the appearance is virtually the same, this recently released model includes Apple’s W1 chip, providing easy pairing to an iPad or iPhone.
The model also puts Beats in direct competition with Bose, as it comes equipped with a strong level of noise canceling.
The headphones wireless functionality connects using Bluetooth and is said to last for 22 hours even with active noise canceling turned on.
The headphones charge with a microUSB connector.
As the newest iPhone doesn’t include a headphone jack, Apple suggested consumers use wireless headphones as a possible remedy.
The headphones come in six colours, with two limited edition colours.
Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones are available to purchase now from Apple.com.
