ASUS has targeted gamers who want serious performance without the bulk, unveiling two new 14-inch TUF Gaming A14 laptops at CES 2026 that combine next-gen GPUs, AI acceleration and military-grade durability in a highly portable package.
The new lineup consists of the TUF Gaming A14 FA401GM and FA401EA, both weighing under 1.5kg and measuring just under 2cm thick.
Despite the compact size, ASUS says these machines are designed to handle modern AAA games, creative workloads and on-device AI features.
The headline model, the TUF Gaming A14 FA401GM, pairs AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 465 processor with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU.

The CPU features 10 cores, 20 threads and a built-in NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS for AI tasks, while the GPU can run at up to 115W with Dynamic Boost in manual mode.
ASUS is clearly pitching this machine at gamers who want a truly portable system that can still drive demanding titles and esports at high frame rates.
The RTX 5060 also brings support for NVIDIA’s latest DLSS 4 suite, including Multi Frame Generation and improved ray reconstruction and super resolution, powered by fifth-generation Tensor Cores. In practice, that should mean higher performance and better image quality in supported games.

For users who don’t need a dedicated GPU, the TUF Gaming A14 FA401EA focuses on efficiency. It’s the first TUF laptop to use the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392, which combines 12 CPU cores, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 40 compute units, and a 50 TOPS NPU in a chiplet design that shares memory between CPU and GPU.
Both models feature a 14-inch 2.5K (2560×1600) 165Hz display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB coverage and 400 nits brightness. The GM version supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, while the EA supports AMD FreeSync.
Other highlights include quad-channel LPDDR5X memory, dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots, a 73Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and a full selection of ports including USB4 and HDMI 2.1.
ASUS has not yet confirmed Australian pricing or availability.
