Queensland based distributor, Avation has shocked the home automation market by snaring the Savant brand from Emersive Technologies, a New Zealand Distributor who also recently lost the Focal audio brand.
Avation who are one of the leading suppliers of home automation gear to resellers and installers takes over the brand immediately. Last month the Company parted Company with control systems Company RCI despite Avation being credited with doubling the RCI business in Australia.
Shortly afterwards the Company started selling the Universal Remote-Control range.
Appointing Avation as their exclusive distributor Savant Systems is expecting significant growth with Avation now able to offer bundled gears of home automation products built around the Savant offering.
Recent product introductions from Savant including the award-winning Pro 8 user-interface, SmartTouch dedicated touch screens and the Pro Audio distributed music solution.
“Expanding Savant’s presence in the luxury home market throughout Australia is extremely important to Savant,” said JC Murphy, Executive Vice President of Savant. “With groundbreaking new products being introduced throughout this year, we are confident that Avation will increase brand visibility and make the Savant experience available to more Australians than ever before.”
Avation which was established in 2010 has a reputation for quickly growing brands in Australia.
“Savant offers the industry’s best residential automation platform, providing homeowners with an exceptional experience through a delightful user interface,” said Hamilton.
“We are excited to work with our vast dealer network to bring the Savant connected home experience to customers across Australia.”
Len Wallis from Len Wallis Audio in Sydney said, “This is a big win for Avation they have done an excellent job in the past”.
Emersive Technologies who have been dropped by both Focal headphones after just 23 months and now Savant, have in the past tried to service the Australian market from New Zealand. 2 years ago, I was highly critical of this Companies strategy and the loss of both Focal and Savant bears witness that Australia cannot be serviced from “across the ditch” as one reseller said on hearing the news.
