At the time Sony said that the new device had a waterproof body, and a fingerprint scanner.
The Japanese smartphone maker was one of the first to push an IP68 rating as a key feature, but it turns out the company’s own devices may not be as a protected as originally promised after test revealed that the device is prone to leaking.
At IFA Sony said that they will also launch a standard, 5.2-inch version of the Xperia Z5 phone without the pixel boost, and a Compact model with a screen just 4.6 inches in size.
