HyperX has sought to capitalise on the success of the Nintendo Switch, by launching its new ‘Cloud Earbuds’ (A$79) for mobile gamers, with an in-line microphone.
Incorporating HyperX’s patent pending soft silicone ear tips, the earbuds claim to offer immersive gaming, without comprising audio quality.
Incorporating Hi-Fi capable 14mm drivers, HyperX asserts the earbuds deliver clear tones with enhanced bass and ambience.
The earbuds include a rubberised “tangle free cable”, with a 90-degree angled plug for optimised handheld gaming.
Of importance, the Cloud Earbuds incorporate an in-line mic for voice chat functionality, on either the Nintendo Switch, tablets or smartphones.
The in-line mic can be used for taking calls, with a single button swapping between calls and media streaming.
In addition to the Nintendo Switch, HyperX’s new Cloud Earbuds are compatible with smartphones and tablets with a 3.5mm CTIA standard connector.
Andrew Ewing, HyperX Senior Business Manager, claims the introduction of Fortnite Android Beta will increase demand for quality earbuds with in-line mics.
“The new Cloud Earbuds expand the HyperX lineup with a mobile solution designed to unlock the best gaming experience on the go while delivering the comfort and style inherent in HyperX gaming gear,” adds Ewing.
Catering to different individuals, the earbuds ship with three different sized eartips, enclosed in a portable case.
