Audio brand JBL has confirmed that its new Playlist speaker will be in the hands of Australian customers within a matter of weeks and just in time to pair up with the new Google Home.
“With the JBL Playlist, music and tech enthusiasts can enjoy their favourite content without interruption,” says Harman Audio’s VP for Connected Home products.
“JBL Playlist allows users to access millions of songs and podcast by casting from apps that they already love,” he said.
Boasting a football-like design, this new 60-watt speaker hits both high and low by offering support for streaming services like Spotify and Google ChromeCast well as hi-res formats like 24-bit audio.
According to the company, “The JBL Playlist’s design features a wide-open surface for unrivalled sound quality and a metal passive radiator for class-leading bass performance.”
“Its distinctive matte finish and grille fabric cover provides a sleek look that perfectly complements any room,” they add.
While it does lack in the waterproofing department, it is priced pretty competitively and available in three color variants.
The JBL Playlist will be available from the 7th of August through Harvey Norman and Betta Electrical for $249.95.
