Sydney based distributor Laser Corporation is having another crack at the home automation market along with a new V -Fitness brand for personal fitness consumers as well as a brand for pet lovers.
The Company that has been around for more than 30 years has also announced a major expansion of their business in Australia.
According to CEO Chris Lau the Company has invested heavily during the past in new IT systems, online digital assets, warehousing and an expanded logistics system.
Among the new products being marketed by Laser are next generation wireless charging, unique power bank storage technology – which brings 240v AC and a range of smart home devices.
According to Lau the Company is having a lot of success with dashcams, wireless charging and Bluetooth audio.
He said “After speaking with our retail partners we saw that there were several emerging categories where we felt we could add value”
The first of the new brands being delivered by Laser is fitness tech and the launch of a new sub-brand V-Fitness. The Company is set to roll out a sub $70 heart/sleep monitoring fitness band for adults, and a sub $30 model for kids.
Laser is also jumping into the pet market with a new brand called Tech4Pets that will sell a 4G pet trackers, water and food dispensers and pet toys.
As mentioned, the key area that is likely to get some attention is our home automation / smart home range. While various solutions have been around for several years now, the emergence and fast penetration of Google Home and Amazon Alexa has made home automation more accessible than ever before.
Lau said “Our new range delivers significant consumer benefits with a price tag often half that currently seen in market. From doorbells to door handles and all the elements you would expect to build a home automation solution, our various starter kits of sensors, cameras and IR controllers will help you get it underway.
