LG’s compact Eclair soundbar, first seen at CES this year, is on its way to lounge rooms with the global rollout now underway.
Measuring in at 296 x 59.9 x 126mm and featuring an oval shape, the Eclair is billed as LG’s most compact soundbar to date, but includes Meridian 3.1.2-channel audio with wireless subwoofer, 4K pass-through support, and AI-assisted adaptive audio.
“A 2021 CES Innovation Award Honoree, this soundbar is a great fit for contemporary lifestyles thanks to its sleek, compact design that fits well in limited spaces while still being able to deliver immersive sound,” the manufacturer says.
The Eclair is designed to require fewer cables, according to LG, as its support for eARC allows lossless transmission of 5.1-channel, 7.1-channel, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X on compatible TVs; additionally, LG 2021 TV owners will be able to use TV Sound Mode Share with the soundbar for more nuanced audio.
The Eclair will first ship to North America, with other regions to follow; Australian availability details are still to come.
