LOEWE has rolled out Alexa controls for their BILD series of televisions as a part of their free ongoing software updates.
If you own a LOEWE BILD television, your update will be available now. After installing the update, using the function is as simple as connecting an Amazon Dot or similar and using commands such as “Alexa tell LOEWE TV to turn on”.
Australian importers INDI praised the new functionality. Their Managing Director, Paul Riachi, said “we witnessed back in May 2018 the operation of the Alexa voice control on the LOEWE TV’s, even though it was in Beta stage the system worked seamlessly and we knew LOEWE is on the move to making their products once again a market leader.”
LOEWE has also announced that it will be moving into the hotel and commercial television market by 2019.
The German television manufacturer has said that all products in this range will support software for hotels, digital presentations and commercial signage.
Paul Riachi reflected on the expansion into the new market, commenting “Hotel TV and the Commercial market is exciting for INDI as its opening new area’s and new opportunities for LOEWE, in Europe their expansion in Hotel has been huge, and they are now spreading across the world.
“We find that Businesses and the Commercial industry want something premium and quality to enhance the experience of their clients stay, 2019 marks a very BIG year for LOEWE and INDI as we are gearing up and making way for another new warehouse for INDI Imports which will include a training and technical facility of our products.”
